Projects Lawyer (4-6 years') – Edinburgh

A highly regarded UK law firm is looking for a projects lawyer with 4-6 years’ PQE to join its growing team. This opportunity can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, with flexible working arrangements and the chance to work on projects across the UK and Ireland.

The Work:

The team advises across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure and energy projects – from procurement and construction through to operation, hand back and expiry.

Key areas of focus include:

• Student accommodation developments
• District heating networks
• EV charging infrastructure
• Net zero initiatives
• Public-private partnerships and concession contracts

You’ll work with a diverse range of clients including universities, government departments and public bodies, private sector developers and investors and many more.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Advising on complex, high-value infrastructure and PPP projects
• Supporting procurement processes and contractual negotiations
• Working closely with senior lawyers on flagship university and energy projects
• Attending client sites and university campuses across the UK
• Collaborating with colleagues across different UK offices

Ideally, you will:

• Have 4-6 years’ PQE in infrastructure, projects, or public procurement
• Demonstrate strong drafting, communication and client-handling skills
• Be commercially aware and solutions-focused
• Be well-organised, with the ability to manage complex transactions
• Be confident leading client meetings and contributing to team discussions
• Thrive in a collaborative, agile environment
