Our client, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join their growing finance team.

About the Role:
As a Property Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of a diverse property portfolio. A key focus of this position will be the preparation, management, and reconciliation of service charge accounts, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and reconcile service charge budgets and accounts

• Accurately process income and expenditure related to property assets

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting for property owners and stakeholders

• Work closely with property managers and external auditors to ensure timely completion of year-end service charge accounts

• Review leases and ensure correct application of service charge provisions

• Handle tenant queries related to service charges and financial statements

• Maintain accurate records in line with RICS Service Charge Code of Practice

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in property accounting, with a strong emphasis on service charge accounting

• Solid understanding of the RICS Service Charge Code and best practices in property management finance

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in accounting software

• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders

• Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is desirable but not essential
