We’re looking for a talented Property and Casualty Underwriter to support growth and deliver strong results from our Birmingham office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a broad range of cases, build strong broker relationships and contribute to a high-performing underwriting team.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £50,000 per year

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

As our P&C Underwriter, you’ll:

• Underwrite Property and Casualty risks within your authority, supporting the delivery of profitable growth.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers to support retention and identify new business opportunities.


• Manage a portfolio of business, ensuring consistent underwriting discipline and high-quality service.


• Collaborate with colleagues and internal teams to deliver efficient, client-focused solutions.


• Engage with brokers through regular communication and meetings to strengthen partnerships and market presence.


• Provide timely and professional responses to broker and client enquiries. 

Essential skills

• Solid experience underwriting Property and Casualty risks


• Experience handling mid-range or complex cases within authority levels


• Strong ability to build and maintain effective broker relationships
