Property Manager – Maternity Cover Contract

Location: Loughton, Essex

Salary: £27,000 – £32,000

Contract: 9–12 months

Start Date: Immediate or November 2026

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Working Pattern: Office-based

Driving Licence: Required – own car essential

Parking: Available

The Opportunity

An established residential property business is looking for an experienced Property Manager to join its busy Lettings department on a 9–12 month maternity cover contract.

The role would suit someone with at least 18 months' experience within lettings/property management, who is looking for their next opportunity within a supportive and established team.

The successful candidate will work alongside another Property Manager, jointly overseeing a portfolio of approximately 200 properties, rather than managing an individual portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day property management and lettings matters


• Dealing with landlords and tenants professionally and efficiently


• Handling maintenance issues and coordinating contractors


• Managing tenancy-related administration and compliance


• Supporting with property accounts and financial administration where required


• Ensuring properties and tenancies are managed in line with relevant legislation


• Working closely with the wider Lettings team to provide an excellent level of service

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• A minimum of 18 months' lettings/property management experience


• Good knowledge of the residential lettings process


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• Excellent attention to detail


• The ability to manage a busy workload and work as part of a team


• Accounts experience would be advantageous


• A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
