We are delighted to be working on behalf of a well established and highly regarded regional law firm to recruit an experienced Property Solicitor with approximately 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE). This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a high-quality, mixed caseload of commercial and residential property matters within a progressive and fast-paced practice.
The successful candidate will provide practical, client focused advice to individuals, businesses, investors, and developers, managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion. Property Solicitor Key Responsibilities:
Caseload Management:
* Independently manage a varied, split caseload of commercial and residential property matters, including sales, purchases, leases, transfers, refinances, and landlord and tenant work.
Transaction Delivery:
* Advise clients on freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, lease negotiations, renewals, and associated property documentation.
Drafting & Negotiation:
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, transfers, reports on title, and ancillary legal documents.
Due Diligence:
* Conduct thorough due diligence, investigate titles, raise and respond to enquiries, and identify legal and commercial risks.
Stakeholder Liaison:
* Liaise effectively with clients, agents, lenders, brokers, local authorities, and other solicitors to progress matters efficiently.
Compliance & Administration:
* Manage files from instruction to post-completion, ensuring strict deadlines, registration requirements, and SRA/AML compliance obligations are met.
Business Development:
* Support the firm's growth by maintaining strong client relationships, generating repeat work, and contributing to the firm’s local profile.
Key Skills Required
Qualifications:
* Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with approximately 5 years’ PQE in both commercial and residential property law.
Technical Knowledge:
* Strong technical understanding of conveyancing practice, landlord and tenant matters, title issues, and property finance.
Autonomy:
* Proven ability to manage a mixed caseload independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a methodical and organised approach to file handling.
Commercial Awareness:
* The ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused legal advice tailored to client objectives and transaction risks.
Communication:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to premium client care and building trusted relationships.
Systems Literacy:
* Proficiency in utilising legal case management systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.
