Edward Mellor Auctions is looking for an experienced Auction Valuer to join our fast-paced and growing auction team.

This is a hybrid role suited to someone who truly lives and breathes auction, understands the urgency of the process, and thrives in an environment where time is never on our side.

This role is about far more than valuations — it’s about building long-standing relationships, developing business, and converting opportunities quickly and effectively.

The Role

As an Auction Valuer, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out property valuations for auction, both from incoming leads and self-generated opportunities


• Proactively business developing within your patch to generate new instructions


• Building and nurturing long-term relationships with vendors, agents, solicitors, and referrers


• Advising clients on auction suitability, pricing, and strategy


• Managing properties through strict auction timelines and deadlines


• Working closely with sales support, admin, and marketing teams to ensure properties are auction-ready


• Representing Edward Mellor Auctions professionally at all times

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working as a Property Valuer (essential)


• Ideally have experience within auctions or a strong understanding of the auction process


• Be highly proactive, self-motivated, and driven


• Be confident generating business as well as handling incoming leads


• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills


• Be comfortable working to tight timescales and firm deadlines


• Be organised, resilient, and commercially minded
