Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Proposals Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the cranes and lifting equipment sector, with the ability to collate and prepare comprehensive proposals for our customers. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to understand customer requirements and project scope.
Collate and prepare detailed proposals, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, technical specifications, and costings, tailored to meet customer needs.
Utilize engineering knowledge and expertise to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions that align with project requirements and budget constraints.
Liaise with various engineering departments to gather technical input and ensure accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and lead time information for components and services required for project execution.
Review and analyse customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation), specifications, and contractual documents to identify key requirements and constraints.
Act as a primary point of contact for customers, providing technical support and clarification throughout the proposal process.
Assist in the development and maintenance of standardized proposal templates, processes, and documentation to streamline the proposal preparation process.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Proven experience working in the cranes and lifting equipment sector, with a focus on proposal preparation and project management.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical specifications, and manufacturing processes related to cranes and lifting equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
