A leading specialist service provider to the UK's major power utilities is currently on the lookout for a dedicated and ambitious Protection and Control Engineer to join their growing team in the North East.

£45,000 - £70,000 + Overtime, 5% matched pension, Dental cover + more

Protection & Control Engineer - The Role:
Work in accordance with the design requirements of the UK Power network.
Represent the department at project start-up, scheme review, progress, closeout, liaison and other meetings.
Set and monitor protection settings throughout the projects.
Be prepared to travel and participate in site meetings throughout the UK.
Write and review test documentation and test files.
Support customers by developing new solutions and generating new ideas.
Work to deadlines and as part of a team to ensure the success of the project.

Protection & Control Engineer - The Person:
A Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a power-related course
Experience of 'HV light current secondary' design requirements as applied to the UK network, preferred but not essential
Willingness to travel and participate in site meetings throughout the UK
The ability to work to deadlines and as part of a team
