Job Title: HGV Technician
Location: Croydon
Shift: 4 on 4 off Nights
Salary: £57,000 + Overtime

What the HGV Technician could expect from the role
This is an opportunity to join one of the London’s largest Passenger Service Vehicle Operators and be part of a team who are a major asset to commuters across Central, South and West London.
As an experienced PSV Fitter / Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a modern and varied fleet of vehicles so commuters’ can enjoy safe travel to work, shopping and leisure, healthcare or to see family and friends.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:

• Routine servicing, repair and maintenance of the PSV Fleet to highest DVSA standards
• Prepare and present PSV for MOT Inspection

• Maintain detailed records of all work carried out, including parts used and time taken.

• Diagnose faults using various diagnostic tools including TEXA,Haldex etc.
• Perform thorough inspections, adjustments, and replacements of worn components
• Fully comply with all HS&E legislation and group policies.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience HGV Techncician:

• NVQ level 3, City & Guilds, Time Served or equivalent qualifications in HGV / PSV Maintenance
• Full UK Driving licence and PCV Licence
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• IRTEC would be an advantage.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
