Title:                                                  Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

Responsible to:                               Registered Manager and Psychology Lead

Purpose & Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and compassionate psychologist to be a part of our Psychology team.  At Gledholt and Gledholt Mews and Coach House; the services provides high quality care to residents with complex mental health needs within a community setting. Our clinical model is grounded in Rogerian Person-Centered Therapy and we encourage a culture of facilitation in our work with both our residents and our staff team. The successful applicant will work closely with the Service Manager (Clinical Lead) and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure that residents continue to receive the high quality care as the navigate their recovery journey.

It is important to have experience with a variety of psychological assessments as well experience delivering individual and group therapies. The post-holder will also be expected to supervise Assistant Psychologists (APs), offer advice and consultation on residents’ psychological care and offer flexible interventions in line with service demands. There will be an expectation to produce and deliver reports for CPA and attend and clinical meetings work autonomously within professional guidelines HCPC and BPS guidelines and the overall framework of Gledholt and Gledholt Mews service’s policies and procedures.

The post-holder will be expected to be involved and have an understanding operationally of the day to day running of this unique service and its relationship with the ICB and external stakeholders. There will be a further requirement to be further involved in audit, policy and service development and the assessment and interpretation of outcomes. As a member of the psychology department, there will be considerable opportunity for further professional development through access to various CPD activities/events and research.
