Psychology Graduate

Are you a recent graduate in psychology, education, or a related field? Do you have some paid or voluntary experience supporting people to overcome barriers or achieve goals?

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in a meaningful role, helping neurodivergent adults (e.g. autism, ADHD, Tourette’s) find work or progress in their careers. You’ll be based in the Barnsley office, with some outreach in the local area, meeting around five clients per day, mostly in person.

You’ll offer practical job support – CV writing, job search, building confidence – and occasionally accompany clients into town to hand out CVs. Some clients may already be working and need support to progress. No formal diagnosis is needed; the approach is always person-led and inclusive.

What You’ll Do

• Help clients set realistic job goals and take steps towards them
• Support with CVs, applications, interviews, and confidence
• Build relationships with referrers (e.g. Jobcentre, social prescribers)
• Connect with local employers to explore opportunities
• Work collaboratively with a friendly, supportive team

What You’ll Need

• A degree in psychology, education, or a related subject
• Some experience (paid or voluntary) supporting people in a goal-focused way – this could be in mental health, youth work, care, mentoring, education, or similar
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and adaptability
