Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work full-time in a primary school near Haltwhistle. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Year 1 and Year 5, helping them access learning and thrive throughout the school day.
 
About the Role
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. SEND experience and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs are essential.
 
What You'll Be Doing

Providing 1:1 support to pupils with ASD.
Helping children engage with classroom activities and routines.
Supporting emotional regulation, communication and social development.
Working closely with class teachers and other support staff.
Encouraging confidence, independence and positive learning experiences.
Who We're Looking For

Psychology graduates interested in child development, behaviour or SEND.
Individuals with experience supporting children with additional needs.
Strong communicators who build positive relationships.
Patient, resilient and empathetic professionals.
Candidates able to travel to Haltwhistle and commit to full-time hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
