We are recruiting Psychology Graduates to join a specialist school in the Royston/Meldreth area, supporting students aged 6-19 with a range of additional needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who wants to build relevant experience while working alongside experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals.
What will you be doing? As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students throughout their school day. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support. Helping students access learning and participate in activities. Supporting communication and social development. Promoting emotional wellbeing and independence. Creating a positive, safe and nurturing environment. Supporting students with personal care when required. Working closely with teaching and specialist support staff. Who are we looking for? You don't necessarily need previous SEN experience. We're looking for graduates who demonstrate:
A genuine interest in working with children and young people. An interest in psychology, education, therapy or mental health. Patience, empathy and resilience. Excellent communication skills. A willingness to learn and develop professionally. The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Essential requirement: GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent.
