An established and successful secondary academy in Manchester is looking to appoint a passionate and committed Teacher of Psychology for a permanent position starting in September. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and conceptually rich lessons that help students build confidence, statistical evaluation skills, essay architecture, and a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour, cognitive neuroscience, and psychological research methodologies. The Role:

• Teaching A-Level Psychology modules across Key Stage 5

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the UK curriculum

• Supporting post-16 students of all abilities to achieve top-tier exam outcomes

• Contributing to academic masterclasses, university-preparation clinics, and extra-curricular clubs

• Working closely with colleagues within the Social Sciences faculty

Requirements:

Applicants must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized post-16 teaching qualification

• A degree in Psychology or a highly related scientific discipline

• Experience teaching Psychology in a UK secondary school or sixth form college setting up to A-Level

• Strong classroom management skills

• The legal right to work in the UK

Salary:

M1 – UPS3 (Main / Upper Pay Scale)
