We are seeking an enthusiastic, academically ambitious, and committed Psychology Teacher to join the successful Humanities and Social Sciences faculty at a highly regarded secondary academy in the Hammersmith area of Inner West London.

This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026.

The Opportunity

The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Psychology specialist dedicated to delivering engaging and rigorous lessons on research methods, theories of behaviour, and key psychological approaches. You will be joining a supportive, intellectually stimulating environment where analytical skills and intellectual curiosity are prioritized. This role focuses on outstanding classroom practice and contributing to the department's consistent record of placing students in related university courses.

To secure an exceptional candidate, this role includes a generous Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum. This financial incentive is a purely financial reward designed to support excellent teachers and their commitment to our school community.

We Are Looking For:

• A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).


• A relevant degree in Psychology or a closely related social science discipline.


• A proven track record as an excellent Psychology Teacher with mandatory experience teaching the subject to Key Stage 5 (A-Level).


• A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.


• The drive to contribute positively to the academic life of the school.

Salary and Benefits

• Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers.
  
  
  • The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Inner London Pay Scale (The Inner London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £40,317 as of September 2025).
