Public Relations Account Manager

Denholm are delighted to be working with one of the Scotland’s leading PR, public affairs, digital and design agencies who are currently on the lookout for a new PR Account Manager to own client relationships, represent the business at events, and be hands-on with the work itself. You’ll be go-getting yet personable and able to build relationships with clients and media alike, coming to the table with a strong work ethic and bags of enthusiasm for the sector you’ll be operating in.

This is a fast-paced role and joining a dedicated, welcoming team who strive for success. For this position, that will include strategic leadership on client accounts such as planning projects for

housebuilders/renewable

energy, trade bodies, and third sector organisations.

What you’ll be doing

Coordinating, directing and attending public consultation events across Scotland.
Preparing and undertaking stakeholder engagement programmes and public affairs documents, including scoping reports.
Hosting and organising stakeholder roundtables and events.
Managing client relationships, ensuring they receive structured and strategic communications advice and support.
Coordinating web design and brand development.
Community engagement planning, attendance, and management.
Assisting clients to develop positive relationships with target stakeholders and influence decision-making and political processes.
Confidently leading and managing multi-client portfolios spanning different policy sectors on budget and on time.
Writing copy for opinion pieces to be shared on social/traditional media, drafting media and policy copy, public affairs strategies and policy briefings.

Who we’re looking for

5 years Public Relations experience
Experience working in close consultation with clients to plan and implement communication strategies on their behalf.
Knowledge of overseeing and implementing press and media engagement KPIs.
Able to manage relationships with journalists and the media on behalf of clients.
Experience drafting social media calendars and recommending sponsorship opportunities.
Genuine interest in daily media and political monitoring and background research.
Confident in actively participating in new client pitches to secure new business and representing the company at events and conferences.
Team orientated and always collaborating, as well as self-motivated and go-getting.
Strong communication skills.
