Public Rights of Way Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience Public Rights of Way Officer to come and join a busy team in the Manchester area:

The main duties of the experienced Public Rights of Way Officer are:

Maintain and update the Definitive Map and Statement, ensuring accurate legal records of public rights of way.
Investigate and process Public Path Orders, Definitive Map Modification Orders, and Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders.
Respond to enquiries from the public, landowners, user groups, and stakeholders regarding rights of way issues.
Carry out site inspections, assess path conditions, and coordinate maintenance or enforcement actions where required.
Work with volunteers, local communities, and partner organisations to support improvements and promote responsible access.
Provide expert advice on planning applications affecting public rights of way.
