Lecturer - Uniformed Public Services

Location: Peterborough

Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time (24.67 hours per week, all year round)

Morgan Hunt is currently supporting a college in the Peterborough area to help find a passionate lecturer in Public Services

This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed and forward-thinking team dedicated to preparing learners for careers in the police, fire service, armed forces, and other uniformed professions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative teaching across a range of levels, from entry to higher education
• Inspire and guide students through effective assessment and support
• Monitor learner progress to ensure high retention and achievement outcomes
• Design and implement schemes of work, lesson plans and resources
• Contribute to curriculum development within the Uniformed Public Services department
• Work collaboratively within a supportive and dynamic teaching team

Essential Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma)
• Relevant industry experience and a qualification at Level 3/4 or higher (e.g., HND or Degree)
• Recent experience teaching or training in a similar setting
• A learner-focused approach with excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
• Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learner needs
