Purchase Ledger Accounts Assistant

Are you a detail-driven finance professional with a passion for precision and a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic finance team where your skills will make a real impact.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the purchase ledger, supporting the wider finance function with a variety of tasks including:

• Processing supplier invoices from start to finish – scanning, registering, verifying, coding, and filing
• Managing supplier queries and building strong working relationships
• Supporting the company’s credit card processing using new software
• Collaborating with managers to ensure timely invoice approvals and payments
• Reconciling supplier statements and assisting with ad-hoc payments
• Preparing VAT reports for UK, Spain, and Germany
• Assisting with sales ledger reconciliations and covering where needed
• Producing monthly debtors reports and supporting bank reconciliations

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines
• Clear and confident communication skills
• A good working knowledge of Excel and sound business practices
• Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role is highly desirable
