Job Description - Purchase Ledger Clerk

Michael Page are actively working with a long standing client who are looking for a dynamic Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team in Hull on a permanent basis. My client is looking for someone to become an important part of the finance team that can specialise in invoice coding and processing and all things Purchase Ledger. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career, and wants to join a high performing finance team!

My client is looking for someone to become an important part of the finance team that can specialise in invoice coding and processing, payment runs, managing a busy purchase ledger inbox and much more. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career, and wants to join a high performing finance team! Description

  • Process and verify invoices through invoicing software's
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process payment runs in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchase ledger transactions.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes by providing relevant data and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to address and resolve queries.
  • Support the wider accounting and finance team with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company procedures.

Profile

A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:

  • Previous experience in a similar Purchase Ledger or Accounts Assistant role
  • Motivated and Go Getter Attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and colleagues.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from £26,000 - £30,000
