Job Description - Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Administrator

Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a family run engineering company in the recruitment of a Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Administrator based in Whetstone, Leicester. You will become part of a collaborative, supportive team responsible for the day-to-day transactions using Xero: initially focused on purchase ledger and credit control. This is an opportunity to build on your accounts experience and develop your accountancy skills.

Duties will include -

  • Maintaining the purchase ledger.
  • Accurate coding and processing of supplier invoices.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Chasing outstanding debt via email.
  • Sending copy invoices.
  • Processing expenses and credit card payments.
  • Run aged creditors and debtors’ reports.
  • Assist the Sales Ledger Clerk.


Requirements & Skills

  • Experience of processing day-to-day transactions including purchase ledger
  • Team orientated.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn other elements of the transactional accounts.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
  • Good communication skills and personable approach.
  • Experience of Xero would be an advantage.


Remuneration

  • Salary £28-30,000 pa
  • Hours: Monday to Thursday – 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Friday 8.00 am to 3.00 pm. (1/2 lunch).
  • Holidays: 23 days holiday Bank holidays.
  • Pension: Auto enrolment.
