A well-established business in Andover is looking for a Purchasing Admin to support the Purchasing Manager and help manage the day-to-day running of the purchasing department. You'll assist with sourcing and ordering supplies, materials and components, ensuring the right balance of price, quality and on-time delivery, while maintaining accurate records and strong supplier relationships.
Bonus based on company profits (paid twice yearly) Free on-site parking 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support to the Purchasing Manager Help manage the day-to-day operations of the Purchasing Department Ensure supplies/materials/components are fit for purpose, consistent and meet internal/external requirements Develop and maintain supplier relationships through regular communication Arrange product samples for relevant product areas Purchase parts/materials at competitive prices and ensure on-time delivery Manage monthly call-offs Progress orders and resolve supplier queries Book-in purchase orders and deliveries Manage supplier returns paperwork, liaising with the accounts team where required Update product records as needed Assist with stock adjustments following daily stock checks Support the team in establishing and maintaining quality requirements from external suppliers

A motivated self-starter with flexibility and adaptability Good communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with analytical/problem-solving ability Excellent planning and organisation skills; able to prioritise effectively Confident working on your own initiative with a desire to make a difference IT literate with a good standard of general education
