They are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join their dynamic team. Our client is open to consider applicants with strong administration and customer service skills, alongside those with purchasing experience. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end procurement and logistics process for all orders. You’ll work closely with trusted suppliers and partners, nurturing strong relationships to secure competitive pricing and ensure seamless project delivery. Key Responsibilities of the Purchasing Administrator:
Ensure prices are accurate for project quotes and deliveries, keeping project budgets aligned with profit targets.
Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance profit margins on sales.
Attend internal project meetings to provide updates on lead times and potential supply chain issues.
Track orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely arrival of correct items.
Manage faulty product cases (DOA), ensuring replacements are processed within the expected timeframes.
Keep Project Managers, Finance, and relevant departments informed about supply chain risks and delays.
Oversee the returns process (RMA), escalating issues when necessary.
Coordinate domestic and international shipping for deliveries.
Complete all required documentation for each project, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Advocate for adherence to procurement processes to meet overall business objectives.
Ensure deliveries meet project specifications and deadlines.
Leverage strong negotiation and communication skills to secure optimal prices and services for the company.
Collaborate with suppliers to uphold and improve quality standards.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, facilitating better pricing and smoother procurement processes.
Visit supplier sites to strengthen partnerships and enhance client relationships.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in administrative and customer service roles.
Highly self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to adapt swiftly within a fast-moving and dynamic team setting.
Proficient in using IT systems and software.
Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
Comfortable working under pressure and managing priorities.
Capable of effectively prioritising daily responsibilities.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Excellent organisational abilities.
Able to negotiate effectively with suppliers.
Experience in budget management is advantageous but not mandatory.
