Job Description - Purchasing Administrator

We are seeking a Purchasing administrator to join our internal Purchasing Team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, motivated with ability to prioritise in fast paced environment and the initiative to effectively and efficiently meet the demands of the team. We are looking for a team player, with a can-do attitude!

You should have a strong desire to support customers by always offering exceptional service, as well as an aptitude for administration including maintaining data within our systems and other back-office duties.

Must have an excellent attention to detail, high standards and quality of work and be able to adopt to different working styles and needs.

You will also be expected to understand supplier agreements at a commercial level with a view of protecting and increasing company net profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising Purchase Orders to suppliers
  • Sourcing Products (pricing and stock availability)
  • Purchasing goods online
  • Procurement of software via Marketplaces
  • Negotiating better pricing with suppliers
  • Maintaining POP report
  • Handling Incoming calls for Academia
  • Managing purchasing related tickets and queries on our online ticketing system Zendesk.
  • Log, maintain and report on RMA’s
  • Other administration duties as required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing administration/sales/retail role
  • Customer-focused at all times
  • Detail-oriented and organised
  • Highly motivated and enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • Have an ability to work independently, autonomously and take initiative
  • Have the ability to multi-task and proactively manage various issues
  • Have excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills
  • Understand other business functionalities
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Problem solver
  • Work under high levels of pressure
