Syntech Recruitment are working with this high-end client who are looking to add to their team and recruit for a Purchasing and Planning Manager. They are looking for a Purchasing professional who has demonstrated a management track record in delivering value within a manufacturing environment

Purchasing & Planning Manager Responsibilities:

• Maintain and own the master schedule in line with customer requirements, including planning of work centres, raw material, and sub-contract operations.
• Matching customer requirements with factory and supply chain capacity and identifying bottlenecks / requirements for new capacity well in advance of requirement.
• Develop a supply chain capable of delivering to the master schedule with outstanding quality and on-time delivery and lead-time performance, including managing supplier scorecards.
• Negotiate long-term supply agreements with suppliers as appropriate to protect against price escalation and ensure security of supply.
• Develop and deliver strategic procurement initiatives to drive year-on-year price improvement in the supply chain. 

Requirements:

• Five years experience in a Procurement and Master Production Scheduling roles 
• Experience with using MRP systems within a manufacturing environment
• Team Management skills
• Ability to respond quickly to requirements and prioritising effectively
• Attention to detail 
• 3 years plus Buying experience
• 5 years planning and management experience
