Purchasing Assistant

• Annual Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
• Location: Tyseley, Birmingham
• Job Type: Full-time (Early finish on Fridays - 1:30pm)

We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our small but established team at our clients Tyseley site. This role offers a chance to be part of a friendly and flexible working environment.

• Raising and amending purchase orders.
• Progressing orders and addressing queries.
• Managing credit card purchases.
• Ensuring order acknowledgements match order values.
• Managing direct deliveries to customers.
• Assisting in the administration of price negotiations.
• Providing general administrative support to the Purchasing Department.
• Liaising with other departments (sales, warehouse, finance) to assist in related processes and queries.

• Experience in a purchasing or supply chain support role.
• Excellent communication skills, confident, driven, and a logical thinker.
• Strong analytical and collaborative skills, calm under pressure.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; certification is ideal.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well within a team and under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Experience with modern purchasing ERP systems, ideally Acumatica.

• Standard working hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8:00am-1:30pm.
