An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Assistant to join a busy and successful logistics team within a well-established UK Distributor.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in purchasing or supply chain within a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Raise and process purchase orders with accuracy and attention to detail
Track deliveries and monitor shipping information
Ensure all shipping documents are accurate and complete prior to dispatch
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery dates, and key supplier data
Update order statuses across internal and supplier systems
Provide administrative support to the wider purchasing function
Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments
What We're Looking For:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong organisational and time management skills
A methodical and accurate approach to work
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A positive team player with a proactive attitude
Experience in an administrative or supply chain role is highly desirable
