Purchasing Assistant - Sheet Metal Fabrication
Sittingbourne, Kent
£25,000 per annum - 40 hour working week.
07:30 - 4pm Monday to Friday.

The Role
We're looking for a proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement function—helping ensure materials, components, and supplies arrive on time, every time. Your day-to-day will include:

Raising and processing purchase orders.
Liaising with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve any issues.
Managing stock levels and tracking inventory.
Updating ERP/MRP systems and maintaining accurate records.
Supporting the Purchasing Manager with sourcing and supplier evaluations.

You'll play a key role in keeping our production lines running smoothly, working closely with both our internal teams and external suppliers.

What We're Looking For
We're after someone highly organised, with great communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Ideal candidates will have:

Previous experience in an administrative or purchasing role (ideally in manufacturing or engineering).
Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and order management systems.
A team-player mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
