Job Description - Purchasing Co-ordinator

PURCHASING CO-ORDINATOR

Contract
: Full-time (5 days a week, flexible hours between 8am-5.30pm) 
Location: London (Hammersmith, W6)
Hybrid working: 2 days in the office per week

We’re now looking for an organised and proactive Purchasing Co-ordinator to join our team and support the smooth running of our purchasing operations across multiple brands.

THE ROLE
As Purchasing Co-ordinator, you will support the Purchasing team with day-to-day operations, supplier communication and order management. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organisation, problem solving and working collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in purchasing and gain hands-on experience within a growing e-commerce group.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Placing and confirming supplier purchase orders in line with purchasing processes and timelines
  • Monitoring order confirmations, delivery schedules and updates to ensure service levels are met
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing data and ensuring systems are kept up to date
  • Managing the purchasing inbox and responding to supplier and internal queries in a timely manner
  • Acting as a key point of contact for supplier communication, including order updates and issue resolution
  • Identifying and resolving order discrepancies, delays or supplier issues, escalating where necessary
  • Working closely with Buying, Warehouse, Customer Care and Finance teams to support smooth order fulfilment
  • Supporting the team with general purchasing administration and operational tasks
  • Contributing to process improvements by identifying recurring issues or opportunities to improve efficiency

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Excellent and confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Experience in a similar role is a plus but not essential
  • Interest in Compliance, Supply Chain, Procurement and Merchandising is a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus
