Python Developer

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer / Backend Developer to join a major enterprise technology programme on an initial 12-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Python engineer who enjoys building scalable backend applications, REST APIs and modern software solutions within an Agile engineering environment.

You'll join an experienced development team working on enterprise-scale projects and a long-term technology transformation programme.

What You'll Be Doing

* Design, develop and maintain Python applications

* Build and enhance REST APIs and backend services

* Develop clean, scalable and maintainable Python code

* Work within an Agile engineering team to deliver new features

* Troubleshoot technical issues and optimise application performance

* Write well-tested, production-quality code

* Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices

* Work with architects, testers and product teams throughout the SDLC

* Contribute to modernisation and transformation projects

Skills & Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong experience across the following:

Python Development

* Strong commercial Python development experience

* FastAPI, Flask and/or Django

* Backend application development

* RESTful API development

Desirable Skills

Experience with some of the following would be highly advantageous:

* FastAPI

* Docker

* Kubernetes
