QA Automation Manager

This role has been live for some time, and the key challenge has been finding someone who combines the strong communication and leadership skills required with the right technical background.

The candidates who have progressed to second and final-stage interviews have generally had the technical capability but unfortunately haven't demonstrated the level of communication skills required. Therefore, communication, stakeholder management and the ability to coach and mentor a team are particularly important for this hire.

Key experience required:

  Experience coaching and mentoring a team of QA Engineers

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding and commercial application of both STLC and SDLC

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience with automated testing

  
  


• 
  

  Experience across both functional and non-functional testing

  
  


• 
  

  Commercial experience with Java

  
  


• 
  

  Commercial experience with Selenium

  
  


• 
  

  Experience carrying out edge-case testing within a commercial environment

  
  


• 
  

  Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks, with extensive use of the Page Object Model

  
  

Recruitment process:

  2 x short online tests (approximately 15 minutes each)

  Candidates who pass will progress to 2 x one-hour interviews
