QA Compliance Manager

Job Title: Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager

Location: Kent (with travel to sites across the Southeast)

Salary: £75k plus car allowance

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established construction and development business based in Kent, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager to join their team. This role will support the continued growth and reputation of the company by leading the management and development of their Business Management System (BMS) and ensuring compliance with key ISO and industry standards.

You'll be responsible for driving quality assurance and compliance processes across multiple business units and sites, supporting continual improvement, and maintaining certifications including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, 27001, and SSIP.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and enhance the BMS using SharePoint, working with internal teams and developers

Lead internal audit programmes and support external audit readiness

Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO and SSIP schemes

Deliver monthly quality assurance reports to senior leadership

Collaborate with external certification and regulatory bodies

Provide expert QA guidance across departments and projects

Supervise quality assurance auditing staff

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in QA or compliance within construction or housebuilding

Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and auditing practices

Experience managing certification schemes (e.g., ISO, SSIP, FORS)

Highly organised, with excellent communication and IT skills (including SharePoint and Microsoft Office)

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and travel across the Southeast as needed

Full UK Driving Licence with business insurance

Desirable:

ISO Internal Auditor qualification

Experience with FORS, DVSA Earned Recognition, Van Excellence

Professional membership (e.g., IOSH, IEMA, CQI)
