As a QA Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality software by working closely with the QA Engineering Manager and wider technology teams. You’ll be part of a collaborative, in-house QA function, contributing to testing across modern cloud-based platforms.
Your focus will be on automation-first testing, ensuring quality across the full technology stack—from web and mobile to APIs.
Location: Negotiable - Tewkesbury, Norwich, Exeter
Hours: Full Time - 37 hpw Mon-Fri
Contract: Permanent
Designing and executing test plans and test cases based on product and technical requirements
Performing both manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API layers
Building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks
Supporting functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
Running performance and load testing, analysing results, and identifying optimisation opportunities
Logging, tracking, and prioritising defects, ensuring timely resolution
Embedding testing in CI/CD pipelines and promoting best QA practices
Collaborating closely with developers, product teams, and DevOps
Driving continuous improvement and innovation in QA processes
Experience in a QA role with test automation
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub
Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
Programming/scripting knowledge in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or C#)
Understanding of performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter, Gatling, or similar)
ISTQB or similar QA certification
Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure)
