A rare opportunity has arisen for a QC Section Leader to join one of the UK’s leading pharmaceutical companies.

Reporting in to the QC Manager, the QC Section Leader will be expected to:

• To manage the analytical testing of solid dose products using HPLC, GC, UV and IR, within the requirements of cGMP, ALCOA+, Health and Safety and COSHH.
• In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of analysts and ensuring that release of our product meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
• Conduct and lead Phase 1 and Phase 2 investigations for OOS, OOT, and other quality deviations within a GMP-regulated laboratory or manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance and effective resolution
• To critically review analytical data, and where specifications are met, approve products for further processing.
• You will be a key player in driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with industry regulation and company polices.

The successful candidate for the QC Section Leader role will have:

• A BSc in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or relevant scientific degree, with a significant amount of experience in QC.
• Manage the workload of the QC solid dose team, including preparing weekly and daily work schedules.
• Experience in Phase 1 and Phase 2 investigations related to OOS, OOT, and other quality deviations in a GMP-regulated laboratory or manufacturing environment is essential.
• Previous experience in leading a team is preferred.
• Previous experience in representing the QC group at internal, customer and regulatory audits and liaising with the regulatory affair department is essential
• Experience in leading the analytical method transfer, verification and validation is preferred
