Sure Start Staff has a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced QESH Manager to join our busy manufacturing client based in the Stockport area.
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Shift: Monday to Friday, 39hours per week
This is a key role in managing and supporting the Quality, Environment, Safety, and Health functions of a well-established manufacturing business. The role:
* Overall responsibility for Quality Management System and Compliance.
* Provide support to the business, ensuring that processes, procedures, and methods are controlled within the specification that conforms to our customer’s requirements and ISO 9001.
* Ensure that the quality requirements are clearly defined, captured, and distributed through information sheets, SOP’s & Product Information data sheets.
* Report daily KPIs concerning quality performance at the daily team review meeting.
* Ensure regular patrol inspections are conducted, ensuring established processes, procedures, and methods are being adhered to.
* Ensure supplier audits are conducted as and when required.
* Upfront involvement in the NPI process ensuring a clear understanding of new product requirements and developing the necessary control plans.
* Support investigations in the event of a quality concern or non-conformance and implementation of corrective actions.
* Utilise, when required the following quality tools/processes – CAPA, 5 Why’s, FMEA, PFMEA, 8D, Control plans, SPC, PPAP.
Health & Safety:
* Drive improvements to the H&S culture in the business by actively reporting all Accidents, Dangerous occurrences, and/or Near Misses within the business.
* Support all company safety initiatives, programs of safety improvement proactive support Hazard awareness, and the management of behaviour-based safety programs.
* Ensure the departmental heads are continuously trained so that the Company’s facilities and equipment are operated in a safe manner.
* Ensure Risk Assessments are reviewed in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Required Skills:
* Demonstrated high-level management of Safety and Quality experience in an SME manufacturing environment.
* Desirable recognised Health & Safety qualification - NEBOSH.
* A minimum of 4 years management experience in an ISO 9001 regulated environment.
