Job Description - Qualified Accountant

We are recruiting a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) for a well-established and growing practice based in Brierley Hill, seeking a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) to join our team.

You'll be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have solid practice experience and be confident dealing with owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors.

The main duties will be:

Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met.
Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
Complete corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC as needed.
Assist with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts (where applicable).
Provide business and tax advice to clients, including proactive planning.
Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing work and supporting development.
Liaise with clients on a regular basis, building long-term relationships.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Requirements:

ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax legislation.
Experience with cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)."
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
