Job Description - Qualified Management Accountant

Meraki Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a market-leading organisation based on the outskirts of Glasgow to appoint a Qualified Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing finance team within a business that is a true leader in its sector. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in the financial planning and analysis function, providing critical insights to support decision-making across the business.

Key duties and responsibilities

Produce accurate and timely monthly and quarterly management accounts to tight deadlines
Assist in the preparation of detailed monthly management reporting packs
Partner with the wider management team in the annual budgeting process
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and manage intercompany accounts
Oversee and prepare weekly supplier payment runs
Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
Conduct cost and product profitability analysis
Lead on stock valuation and review processes
Deliver ad hoc financial reports and project work as required

Experience required:

Fully qualified accountant (ICAS / ACCA / CIMA)
Proven experience in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse large data sets
Strong interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication
Industry experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or engineering sectors is desirable

On offer:

Competitive base salary: £45,000 – £53,000
