• Plan and teach high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring good or outstanding progress.
• Set clear learning targets based on prior student attainment, treating each student as an individual.
• Assess student work and progress, providing regular feedback in line with school policy.
• Contribute to and follow the department's schemes of work.
• Prepare students thoroughly for examinations and report on student progress according to school policy.
• Maintain a stimulating, engaging, and safe learning environment.
• Attend parent/information evenings and respond to parental concerns in accordance with school policy.
• Engage in the wider life of the school, including participating in routine duties and school activities.
• Take responsibility for personal professional development and participate in performance management activities.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience in teaching Science at secondary school level.
• Ability to deliver engaging, effective lessons and to assess student progress.
• Commitment to professional development and meeting the Teacher Standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
