• Herefordshire Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our team. This permanent, full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children in care within the Hereford area.

We offer:

• A competitive salary of £35,235 - £39,513 (plus a market supplement of £5,000 per year, totaling £40,235 - £44,513), a relocation package of up to £10,000, and a welcome payment of £10,000.
• Working hours: 37 hours

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, developing care plans, liaising with families and other professionals, advocating for children's best interests, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Specific duties will be outlined during the interview process.

Qualifications:

• Applicants should possess a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Social Work Degree) and be registered with the HCPC.
• Experience in safeguarding is essential, and experience working with specific vulnerable groups would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills are required.

Requirements:

• Social Work England registered
• Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS
