Job Description - Quality Assurance Auditor

Quality Control Auditor
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Slough
  • Salary: Competitive - DOE

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Auditor to support our Technical team by ensuring adherence to all procedures and policies defined in our Quality and Food Safety System throughout all stages of manufacture. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of food quality and safety.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Perform daily checks and file factory paperwork, ensuring it is legible and correctly filled.
  • Conduct internal audits, calibrations, and temperature checks.
  • Report and complete non-conformance notices.
  • Investigate metal detector rejects and complete reports.
  • Collect micro samples and prepare for lab collection.
  • Check, release, or quarantine any non-conforming goods.
  • Conduct taste panels and conformity and quality checks, collating and reporting results.
  • Monitor site safety, quality, and hygiene standards both internally and externally.
  • Conduct gluten-free production swabs to positive release.
  • Perform start-up checks and manage the concession process and log.
  • Make decisions regarding the removal of substandard products or ingredients and report to the immediate supervisor or Technical management.
  • Ensure that CCP and key procedures are always adhered to.
  • Prepare staff communications and provide training on compliance procedures where required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Proficient report writing skills.
  • Intermediate IT literacy.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic microbiological knowledge.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, either in retail or food service.
  • Essential qualifications include Food Hygiene and basic HACCP certification.
  • Desirable qualifications include Level 3/4 Food Hygiene and HACCP Level 3.
  • BRC awareness and experience in microbiological investigation are advantageous.
