JOB DESCRIPTION A Manufacturing Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring products are made consistently, safely, and according to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. The role involves using Faro Arms, Faro Laser systems, height gauges, and a range of standard metrology and inspection equipment. We’re looking for someone with quality inspection experience in manufacturing or another highly regulated engineering environment. A British passport is essential, and the successful candidate will need to obtain full security clearance to MOD standards before they can commence any operational duties.
Core responsibilities Develop and maintain quality control procedures Monitor production processes for defects or deviations Perform root cause analysis on quality issues Lead or support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Review and analyze inspection and test data Ensure compliance with: Internal quality standards Customer specifications Industry regulations Work with manufacturing, suppliers, and design teams to improve quality Support audits and documentationTypical skills Knowledge of quality systems like ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, SPC Familiarity with tools such as: FMEA 8D PPAP Control plans Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams Pareto analysis Strong problem-solving and data analysis abilities Attention to detail Communication and cross-functional collaboration Product Inspection In-process inspection Operation verification Build verification Final inspection Dimensional inspection Visual inspection Documentation verification
