Are you a Quality Assurance Manager or similar from a Wholesale and Manufacturing background, preferably with experience working with Chinese manufacturers/ factories, looking for a role at a leading Manufacturer of bespoke seasonal products, who since their creation have gone from strength to strength and as a result looking to add a new role to their skillful and friendly team?

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all consumer products comply with UK safety legislation, labelling requirements, and quality standards, preparing and maintaining technical documentation as well as liaising with external clients, national accounts and suppliers, as well as training and mentoring current employees in the QA department. There will be occasional travel to China, around 2 to 3 times a year.

This role would suit a Quality Assurance Manager or similar, from a Wholesale and Manufacturing background, preferably with experience working with Chinese manufacturers/ factories, looking for a role that can give them the autonomy to run and manage their own Quality Assurance department, with the added benefits of a Discretional Company Performance Bonus, Private Healthcare, and 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holiday.

The Role

• Running and Managing a Quality Assurance department, to include Far East Team
• Ensuring consumer products compliance with UK legislation and quality standards
• Occasional travel to China, around 2 to 3 times a year
• Develop, implement, and maintain QA systems in line with UK product safety regulations and internal quality objectives
• Ensure all consumer products meet applicable standards (e.g. EN 71 for toys, BS EN 60598 for lighting) and carry the appropriate UKCA marking
• Lead the preparation for and management of product testing, audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support product development from a compliance and quality perspective

The Person

• Quality Assurance Manager or similar from a Wholesale and Manufacturing background
• Experience with Chinese manufacturers/ factories
• Happy to travel to China 2 to 3 times a year

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Product Safety, Engineering, Quality Management)
• Experience working with lighting, seasonal decorations, toys, or other regulated consumer products
