About the Role: The Quality Assurance Officer (Adults / Children's)
As a Quality Assurance Officer (Adults / Children's), your primary responsibility is to support the delivery of high-quality social care services by gathering and analyzing data, facilitating feedback from service users, and driving continuous improvement. You will work closely with senior managers, including the Principal Social Worker, to ensure staff adhere to performance standards and values. This role offers a unique chance to influence service quality positively and shape practice standards across the organization.
Candidate Responsibilities:
Collect, analyze, and interpret information related to service quality, including feedback from service users. Conduct audits to identify areas for practice improvement and recognize what is working well. Constructively challenge poor practice while supporting practitioners in maintaining high standards. Ensure audit findings inform practice development initiatives. Arrange and facilitate learning forums based on audit outcomes to promote ongoing professional development. Prepare and present detailed reports for senior management and Council Members, confidently discussing findings and recommendations. Build strong working relationships with senior managers in the People Directorate to support practice development. Work proactively with the team to promote safeguarding and welfare of children and vulnerable adults. Uphold the council's commitments to equal opportunities, data protection, and GDPR legislation. Perform any additional duties related to quality assurance as required, supporting a holistic approach to service improvement.Candidate Requirements:
Experience in social care quality assurance, auditing, or practice review (preferably within children or adult services). Strong analytical and report-writing skills. Confident communicator who can present findings effectively. Ability to challenge and influence practice constructively. Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection, and GDPR legislation. Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and facilitate learning forums. Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous improvement in social care.Benefits include:
