Quality Assurance Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Technician to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role involves maintaining the highest standards of product safety, legality, and quality by supporting day-to-day Quality Assurance activities and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and approve goods inwards, raw materials, packaging, and finished products.

• Monitor and control Critical Control Points (e.g., raw material intake, sieving, metal detection).

• Prepare and commission samples for external lab analysis; enter results into SAP.

• Support tea tasting sessions and perform blend build checks.

• Monitor GMP standards and ensure hygiene compliance across production areas.

• Investigate and act on non-conformances; escalate issues appropriately.

• Assist in preparing for audits (IFS, Organic, Internal) and support new product development projects.

• Accurately document and maintain quality records in line with QMS procedures.

About You:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a QA role within the food industry.

• Knowledge of IFS, BRC, or similar food safety standards.

• Experience with SAP and strong Microsoft Office skills.

• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Sound understanding of production and warehouse processes.

• Confident in identifying quality and safety issues and implementing corrective actions.
