Quality Assurance Technician - Food Manufacturing

Job Title: QA Technician
Location: Aldridge
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Salary: £38,000 per annum

People Solutions are very pleased to be assisting their client, a fast-growing food manufacturer known for crafting high-quality bakery products for leading retailers and foodservice brands. As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a QA Technician to play a key role in supporting food safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across the site.

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Conduct daily quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards

• Monitor and report on hygiene practices, GMP, and allergen controls across the production environment

• Support internal and external audits (BRC, customer audits, etc.) by maintaining accurate documentation and compliance records

• Investigate non-conformances and assist with the implementation of corrective actions

• Work closely with the technical and production teams to drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement

• Maintain calibration records for equipment and assist with traceability and recall exercises

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience in a quality assurance or technical role within food manufacturing

• Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety legislation, and BRC standards

• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and data entry

• Confident communicator who can liaise effectively with colleagues across all departments

• IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Desirable Skills:

• Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP qualifications

• Experience supporting audits or maintaining BRC accreditation

• Knowledge of bakery production processes
