Quality Assurance Manager - Repairs & Maintenance
Location: Central London Job Type: Temporary (9 months) with plans to move onto a two-year fixed term contract Hourly Rate: £45-£50ph umbrellaWe are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for our Repairs & Maintenance Service. This role is crucial for leading the quality assurance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement functions, ensuring that services are delivered safely, effectively, and in compliance with statutory, contractual, and customer requirements.
Day-to-day of the role:
Lead the quality assurance and performance management functions, providing independent scrutiny and assurance of service delivery, compliance, and customer outcomes. Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance framework to ensure services meet all regulatory standards and contractual obligations. Provide professional advice and assurance on service performance and quality to the Head of Repairs & Maintenance. Design and deliver a programme of audits, service reviews, quality inspections, and assurance activities across operations. Monitor and evaluate service performance through detailed reports and dashboards, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Lead contractor challenge and recovery activities, and support staff management to ensure effective service delivery. Review and monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations and service standards. Investigate service failures and recommend corrective actions to improve service quality and compliance.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven management and leadership experience in a related public service field. Demonstrable ability to establish positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing detailed reports and training materials. Ability to make clear, coherent, and legally compliant decisions at both strategic and operational levels. Experience managing complex tasks simultaneously and delivering high-quality outputs within tight deadlines. Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, understand, and use data for informed decision-making. Excellent presentation and strong IT skills.Benefits:
