About the Role

Orchard Professional Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join a leading manufacturer based in Ottringham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in ensuring products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and company quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out incoming, in-process, and final inspections in line with inspection plans and procedures

* Inspect products using visual, dimensional, and functional inspection methods

* Verify compliance against engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and work instructions

* Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality documentation

* Identify, label, and segregate non-conforming products and materials

* Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support root cause investigations

* Monitor quality throughout the production process and prevent quality escapes

* Use measuring equipment including gauges, calipers, tapes, and templates

* Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve product quality

* Assist with internal audits and quality compliance activities

* Work closely with production teams to resolve quality concerns and improve standards

Requirements

* Previous experience within a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role

* Experience within manufacturing, modular construction, or caravan manufacturing environments

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

* Understanding of quality inspection techniques and quality standards

* Experience using measuring equipment and inspection tools

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

* Basic IT skills for quality reporting and record keeping

Desirable

* Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards

* Internal auditing experience or quality training

* Knowledge of environmental and safety management systems
