We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Quality Control Lab Technician
We are looking for a QC Laboratory Technician to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and consistency of all materials and products entering and leaving our site.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of our quality control operations, carrying out essential testing, supporting production teams, and helping us maintain the highest standards across everything we do.
Commutable from :-Bolton, Chorley, Burscough, Ormskirk, Wigan, Rufford, Skelmersdale and Ashton-in-Makerfield,
Duties
* Carrying out timely testing of in-process materials and finished products to ensure they meet specification
* Preparing pre-shipment samples with accurate and detailed documentation
* Testing incoming raw materials as required
* Supporting calibration schedules and ensuring test equipment is maintained and compliant
* Delivering training on testing methods to operators and deputies when needed
* Identifying non-conforming materials or processes and taking appropriate action, including rework, concession, or disposal
* Issuing process adjustment instructions to production where necessary
* Completing all inspection, testing, and quality documentation accurately and on time
* Supporting investigations and responding to customer complaints and process non-conformances
* Assisting with development and project work when required
* Reporting any abnormal issues or incidents promptly to senior QC staff or management
* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems
Requirements
* HNC or equivalent in Engineering or Chemistry
* A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
* Experience working in a laboratory or quality control environment (preferred)
* Confidence in following procedures and maintaining accurate records
* Good communication skills and the ability to work with production and technical teams
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
* Happy to work a day shift at weekend
