Job Title : Quality Engineer – Highways/Civils

IR35 Status : Inside Off Payroll Working Rules / CIS acceptable
Rate:

Up to £350 per day (Negotiable)

The Company and Project:
Our client is a major player in the UK Civil Engineering & Infrastructure sector, supporting high-value projects. This local district project involves the construction of new roads, bus and cycle ways, and a subway, along with earthworks, drainage, lighting, and signage.
Role Summary:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their team in Swindon for the remainder of the project which is due to complete by spring 2025.
In this role, you will manage parts of this major construction project, specifically focused on highways and civils, ensuring high-quality standards. You will supervise staff, provide technical advice, solve on-site problems, and liaise with quantity surveyors. Ensuring adherence to quality, health, safety, and sustainability policies is crucial.

Technical Skills: Proficient in construction and quality assurance.
Attention to Detail: Ensure high-quality outputs.

Leadership: Lead and manage teams effectively.
Qualifications required
SMSTS, NVQ Level 5, TWC, TWS.
Degree, HNC, HND in Civil Engineering.
Experience required
Understanding of ITPs and Quality Control.
Experience drafting ITPs and QA documentation.
Ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
