37.5 per week - Mon-Wed 07:30-17:15, Thurs 07:30-16:45

We're working with a long-standing precision engineering and manufacturing business based in Ely, known for its continuous innovation and excellence in delivering high-spec components to customers across demanding sectors.

They're now looking to add a Quality Engineer to the team - someone who can support both inspection and quality systems in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support production with quality feedback and improvements.
• Conduct CMM inspections using PC-DMIS and M-Cosmos (training provided if needed).
• Compile FAIR/PPAP and process inspection documentation to customer requirements.
• Investigate internal and customer non-conformances (RCA, CAPA).
• Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality issues and corrective actions.
• Handle customer returns, reworks, SDNRs, and NCRs.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the ISO 9001 QMS.

Key Requirements:

• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Experience with CMM operations (PC-DMIS and/or M-Cosmos preferred).
• Familiarity with FAIRs, bubble drawings, and process inspection sheets.
• Strong communicator and confident working independently or as part of a team.
• Experience within ISO 9001 environments.
• CMM programming experience is an advantage but not essential.
